Address and Directions:

Thatch Meadow Farm is located in Saint James, NY. The address is 121 Harbor Road, Saint James, NY 11780.

Please be aware that Harbor Road has been impassable since the August storm of 2024.

From the Long Island Expressway, continue north at exit 62 onto Nichols Road. Follow Rt. 97 (Nichols Road) all the way north to the end. Make a left onto 25A towards Stony Brook. Follow 25A past the train station and to the end where you will turn left at the light. Continue towards Saint James and just as you pass BB & GG Farm, hang right onto Hitherbrook road. The road forks and you’ll want the right fork where it turns into Bacon Road. Take Bacon Road to the very end and our driveway is directly opposite of you. Continue straight into the dirt driveway, up and over the hill.

Continue down the driveway and hang left at the fork. Welcome to Thatch Meadow Farm. Please understand that this is private property. Please do not visit us unless invited. For more details, click here.

Parking:

Thatch Meadow Farm charges for parking for a few reasons. $20 per car, $10 per motorcycle, and free for walk-ons, canoes, kayaks, or bicycles. We will pay you $100 if you jump from a plane with a parachute.

First and foremost, Thatch Meadow Farm is within the small incorporated village of Head of the Harbor. Harbor Road is small, hilly and a winding road. We like to remain in the good graces of our neighbors and limit traffic as much as possible.

And once you arrive, you'll quickly learn that parking is extremely limited. We either have a lot of space for cars or we have a lot of space for the actual event.

A parking team is required to keep things orderly. This is an expense that we've found is well worth it because parking in an open field requires coordination. Leaving it up to common sense has proven to be a mistake.

Furthermore, we like to consider this an opportunity to be ecologically responsible and encourage carpooling. And if you take a ride sharing service like Uber or Lyft, there is no parking fee! We've also gone out of our way to provide WiFi in remote areas so that these services remain an option.

We completely understand the inconvenience of a parking fee. But we also want to reward those who contribute to our cause and keep these events moving as smoothly as possible.

Thank you for your understanding.

What to bring:

Thatch Meadow Farm is located on the water of the north shore of Long Island. The events happen on the Great Lawn. We suggest you bring sunglasses, lawn chairs, bug spray, a blanket and any other comforts that you’d enjoy on a picnic.

What NOT to bring:

First and foremost, fireworks are not allowed. Open fires and grills are prohibited. Our events are a very deliberate effort to raise money for the farm. Therefore we ask that you patronize our vendors. We try our best to accommodate all diets but if there are concerns, please reach out to us.

Another unfortunate request is that you do not bring your dog. Please honor our request and leave your furry friends behind for the gig.

The property:

It can be easy to forget but this is not a public park. This is private property and there are residents that live here on the farm. Their home is not on display or part of the event. Please respect the parts of the farm that are open and those areas that are not. Please observe the signage and do not wander off into restricted areas.

We love to open the farm up to the public to share in all that it offers. But it is only open during these specific events. Please do not visit us without an invitation or a ticket.

The birds and animals:

Thatch Meadow Farm is returning to its roots. You will likely see a flower garden, chickens, guinea hens, bees and possibly other animals. Please respect the privacy of these areas. Do not feed the animals or birds and please keep out of gated areas.
