Birdie is a strong, smart bird. She has single-handedly survived the massacre and then comes strolling back home 10 days later with a 15 little keets behind her! As soon as we got home from work, we coordinated and managed to capture the keets from Birdie. This was not easy. Birdie then followed us as we moved the keets into the chicken coop. We then proceeded to partition the coop so that Birdie and keets can remain safe and sound. Here is a picture of her. All 15 keets are underneath her. Hopefully they stay warm enough until winter when we will have to have built a new coop just for them. I think we're going to try keeping it within the chicken coop. We'll do some research.
